Moving from the Standard (VoIP) SIM to the Premium (cellular) SIM


The Premium SIM offers a better experience!

Premium Voice is a service upgrade from our Standard Voice Over IP service. The Premium SIM card is completely native and does not require a mobile application to make or receive calls and text messages. These SIM cards work with phones that are GSM unlocked or most AT&T compatible phones. 


No app is required?

That's right! After you upgrade to the new Premium SIM by completing activation on, remove the UNREAL Mobile application from your phone. This article can help

NOTE: Your calling, text messages and voicemail records may be lost once you delete the app. Make sure to download or save your call, text and voicemail history elsewhere. 


How does the Premium SIM card work?

Calls and text messages will be routed through the cellular network, by default. You will still have the opportunity to call and text using WiFi, as long as your phone supports the "WiFi Calling" functionality. Check your phone's user manual to confirm.

If you are within an area with poor cellular coverage, our system will attempt to route your call through the LTE network or and available Wi-Fi network. 


Does my phone support WiFi Calling?

If you're not sure your phone allows for WiFi calling, check your phone's user manual. If you no longer have the user manual, you can often find a digital PDF version online by searching for "PHONE MODEL PDF User Guide". For example, if you have an iPhone 8, search for "iPhone 8 PDF User Guide".


What kind of added services are available?

The Premium UNREAL Mobile SIM card comes with Visual Voicemail, VoLTE, and Wifi Calling.

NOTE: Your phone must support Visual Voicemail, VoLTE, and WiFi calling to use these features. If your phone does not support Visual Voicemail, you can press and hold the number 1 to hear and manage your voicemail messages. Click here to read more about voicemail. 

At this time, Speed Boost, VPN, and Roll Over services are not available. But this may change in the future, so please stay tuned!


What about my Roll Over Data?

Data roll over is not supported with our Premium Service; however, we do have the option to additional High Speed Data by selecting BUY MORE and clicking ADD DATA.

An account is required to place an order. Register online when you place your order. If you get an error that says your email is already in use, log into your existing UNREAL Mobile account and try again.

You can also use a totally different email address to place your new order if you prefer to have two separate accounts.


What about my old plan?

In order to provide a sustainable service and improved customer experience, we've adjusted our plans and upgraded them to cellular voice. Please select a new plan to upgrade to premium service. 


Can I keep my phone number?

Yes, during activation, you will have the option to transfer over your existing UNREAL Mobile number or choose a new number. Visit when you have the new SIM in hand. During the upgrade process, you'll be asked to Get A New Number or Transfer Your Number.

Enter the phone number from your older, Standard UNREAL Mobile account. Follow the instructions on the screen to transfer your number over. 


When should I activate my new Premium service and cancel my old account? 

If you are choosing to keep your existing phone number, we recommend that you begin activation (along with the number transfer) towards the middle of your current account's billing cycle. This way, the phone number transfer will be completed before your current account renews.

You can cancel the account once you have successfully made the transition to the Premium SIM. 


When will the billing cycle begin for my new Premium account? 

Totally up to you! Your start date will be set as soon as you activate your Premium service. 


Why do I need to cancel my old account? 

The transition process creates a new account and subscription for your Premium Voice Service, so you will need to cancel your old account in order to avoid ongoing renewals. You can cancel online by logging into
