Are you using an Android phone or an iPhone?
Check voicemail on an Android phone
There are two ways to hear your voicemails. You can either dial one from your native calling application, or you can open up the Sprint Visual Voicemail application. This app is pre-installed on most CDMA android phones.
Dial 1 to access your voicemails
If you purchased a CDMA Android phone, you can dial one from your native dialer to reach your recorded voicemail messages.
The native dialer is the calling application that came with your phone, not the UNREAL Mobile application.
The Sprint Visual Voicemail application
If you'd prefer to manage your voicemails through a visual interface, you can use the Sprint Visual Voicemail app.
This application is pre-installed. To find it, tap on your all apps icon and scroll through until you see Voicemail.
Tap on it to open it. When you first open the application, you will have to set the app up by selecting your preferences.
A visual voicemail application stores all of the messages that been left for you, in an application, allowing you to play them, delete them or save them more easily. Many of these apps also offer a talk to text service, where your voicemail message is transcribed so you can read it instead of hear it. These talk to text services are usually offered for an additional fee.
After opening the Visual Voicemail application, you will have to set it up, and use it to manage your messages.
If the app was removed/deleted
If you had a visual voicemail application on your phone in the past, but after a reset or some other change, you no longer see it on your phone, you can complete the following steps to try to get it back:
First, make sure it was actually deleted. Sometimes, if you have a lot of apps downloaded to your phone, it can be hard to find what you’re looking for.
Read through the name of each app on your device to find the Visual Voicemail application. You may also have a search feature on your phone, as most newer devices do.
Download the Sprint Visual Voicemail application from the Play Store.
This application cannot be found by opening the Google Play store and searching for “Sprint Voicemail” instead, you can open a web browser and search or click this link to go right to it.
Once you have installed the application, you can open it and complete the new app setup steps.
“This item isn’t available for your carrier” error
If you are presented with this message when you try to download the Sprint Visual Voicemail application, you either have a native voicemail application that comes with your phone already, or you have to dial 1 to hear your voicemail messages.
How to personalize your greeting
You can personalize your voicemail greeting by completing the following steps:
Step 1: Tap on the native calling application, and then tap the settings button.
Step 2: Tap Call Settings
Step 3: Tap on Voicemail
Step 4: Tap on Preferences.
Step 5: Tap on Personalize Voicemail.
Step 5: Tap OK to continue. Your phone will then start to dial the voicemail number and allow you to record a personalized greeting.
Check voicemail on an iPhone
Voicemails can be heard, saved and deleted from the Voicemail tab within the iPhone's calling application. To locate it, on the screen of your iPhone device, tap on the Phone icon.
Then, at the bottom of the screen, to the right, you should see an icon titled "Voicemail". Tap it to see any voicemails that have been left for you.
Complete a carrier reset
If you're having trouble accessing your voicemails from the Phone app, a carrier reset may resolve the problem.
Complete the following steps to reset your iPhone device:
Step 1: Connect your device to WiFi (important)
Step 2: Tap on the phone's native calling app
Step 3: Dial ##25327# or ##UPDATE#
Step 4: Tap the Call button
Step 5: Select OK
Step 6: Wait for the update to complete
Step 7: Select "OK" once it's finished
After you complete your carrier reset, make sure to turn your phone completely off by holding down the power button, then turn it back on again.
